Breast Up-Lift Surgery

Breast up-lift is a plastic surgery performed abroad in Lithuania. During the procedure, your surgeon will make an incision (cut) around the areola. The cut will usually extend down the front of your breast, from the bottom of the areola to the crease. It may also extend along the sides of the areola. The surgeon will lift and reshape your breasts. For some patients, a breast lift is a way to boost their self-confidence. The aim is to restore a youthful and lifted appearance to the body contours. A breast lift removes excess skin and raises the position of the breasts on the chest.

Combining other procedures with breast lift abroad will also significantly reduce recovery and post-operative worries.

However, sometimes, due to lifestyle choices and individual goals, some patients choose to undergo each procedure separately. This requires several different consultations, several anesthetic procedures, and additional post-operative recovery. The breast lift procedure requires far fewer visits and is cost-effective.

The normal recovery time after breast augmentation (mammoplasty) is usually 6-8 weeks. However, if you decide to have these operations separately, the overall recovery time may be several months longer. Therefore, if you only have a breast lift in Lithuania, you only need to recover once!

”In my opinion, the service I received deserves special mention. Starting from the moment I made the request to the time after the surgery, everything was amazing, the service I received and continue to receive.”

What is included in Breast Lift-Up abroad?

During a breast lift or breast lift-up across your borders in Lithuania, your surgeon will usually lift and reshape your breasts to the correct shape and body proportions. Liposuction or cosmetic gynecology treatment can also be performed if you desire. Choosing a breast augmentation surgery or an eyelid correction is very individual and varies from patient to patient. The following are some of the treatments that you can mix and match according to your desired results:

1- An abdominoplasty or tummy tuck: Breast lift and Tummy Tuck (abdominoplasty) A suitable procedure for those who need a tummy tuck in addition to a breast lift.

2- Arm Lift or a thigh lift, both procedures are intended to remove hanging skin and fatty tissue from the upper arms or thighs.

3- Intimate surgery: rejuvenating the vagina, labiaplasty, or clitoral correction.

4-Eyelid Surgery: Eyelid reshaping is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin or fat deposits from the eyelids. The treatment usually gives the eyes a more youthful, well-rested appearance. Both eyes are treated to achieve a symmetrical appearance. Either the upper or lower eyelids can be treated, or both, depending on your preference.

How to decide if you need Breast lift?

Breast lift-Up may be suitable for you if you are in a healthy physical condition and not pregnant or currently breastfeeding;

  • The breasts are sagging and have lost their youthful shape

  • Breasts are flattened, elongated or pendulous

  • The nipples and areolas point downward instead of forward or upward

  • The nipples now appear to be below the fold under the breast.

Breast lift (Mastopexy) surgery techniques

There are many different surgical techniques for performing a mastopexy abroad in Lithuania. Our surgeons will choose the technique based on factors such as the size and shape of your breast, the size and position of the areola, the degree of breast sagging, and the amount of skin to be removed.

Vertical Lift: In this technique, two incisions are made: one around the areola and one incision vertically from the bottom of the areola to the breast crease (the area where the breast meets the breast). This technique is used for women with moderate sagging who do not desire breast implants.

Inverted T or "anchor" lift: this technique involves three incisions: one around the areola, one incision vertically from the bottom of the areola to the breast crease, and one horizontally along the breast crease. This technique is suitable for patients with severe sagging, as much of the excess skin can be removed. It is often used in conjunction with breast reduction.

Peri-areolar or "donut" lift: in this technique, a circular incision is made around the perimeter of the areola. It is suitable for patients with mild to moderate sagging and is often performed in conjunction with breast augmentation.

Sickle Lift: In this technique, an incision is made halfway up the upper areola. It is ideal for patients who have only a small amount of sagging to correct and is generally only performed if the patient is also receiving breast augmentation.

Scarless breast lift: In selected patients with mild sagging, a scarless breast lift can be performed. Instead of a scalpel and surgical incisions, the surgeon uses radiofrequency energy to tighten the breast tissue.

What to expect After Breast Lift Surgery?

  • Each patient's recovery time is individual, since it depends not only on the surgical technique and the type of anesthesia used during the procedure, in addition to the body's natural healing process. Despite this, all patients who underwent mastopexy under general anesthesia are required to stay in the clinic for two nights.

  • According on your activity, you may need to take a week off from work. It is highly recommended that you do not resume light physical activities for another 2 weeks after the procedure. The surgeon may also advise you to avoid engaging in any intimate activity In addition, you should avoid any type of strenuous physical activity for about 6 to 8 weeks after your breast lift.

  • You will need to wear a compression garment or surgical bra in addition to the bandages. Moreover, drainage tubes may be placed near the incisions to drain any fluids. If this is the case, the drainage tubes should be removed by your surgeon after a few days.

  • Patients will be prescribed medications, including pain medications to manage pain and antibiotics to prevent infection.

Final results and scars

  • Patients should usually expect to wait at least 6 months for the final result, and 2 years after the operation, scars may be less visible.

  • Scarring is natural and unavoidable after surgery, and once the wounds have healed properly, you can apply a special scar treatment ointment to the scars regularly. The individual scarring process depends on your body and how well you follow the post-operative instructions.
